Resumen:
Sumario:This study examines the process of integrating education graduates from a public university in northwestern Mexico into the labor market during 2020 and 2021, a period heavily affected by the COVID-19 pandemic and subsequent global health and economic crisis. The research uses the narrative biographical method to present five cases of graduates, supplemented by a categorical system to conduct qualitative and narrative content analysis. The findings show that the graduates encountered challenges in their job placement, attributed to the aforementioned adverse context. The relevance of the skills acquired during training to adapt to new employment modalities and emerging labor dynamics is highlighted. As expressed by the participants, it is concluded that the development of skills for employability during training was essential to access the labor market. In particular, they considered that skills such as organization, leadership, entrepreneurship and the management of information and communication technologies (ICT) offered them more significant employment opportunities in the educational field. This research provides a deeper understanding of the challenges and strategies that influence the employment of education graduates in crisis contexts worldwide.
