Sumario:In this article we propose the elaboration of an energetic bar based on carbohydrates and an important protein intake. Four formulas were created and tested by Uruguayan triathletes to determine the degree of satisfaction and to choose the most favored one. The chosen formula was the date flavored one,that was tested in a sensorial analysis by trained panelists, containing 201 calories per 50 g bar, 71% carbohydrates, 17% proteins, 12% lipids and 2% fiber, and costing $35 Uruguayan pesos (1,5 US dollars). The final formula was very well accepted.
