Resumen:
Sumario:Abstract. This paper seeks to analyze the possible relationships that begin to be established between the legalization of physical education in schools and the legitimization of the body in the school environment. The body, always present, is now made expressly evident. Historical absence will generate movements and decisions into this institution. The starting point is the idea that Physical Education as an educational discipline intentionally takes a corporeal being as a pedagogical subject, which gives him discipline sense and identity. Based on this assumption, it may be considered that this historical moment faces, in a unique manner, representations of the body and archetypes of the Physical Education Teacher deeply rooted in the society, which must undergo analysis for this fact to create a favorable atmosphere for a real change in schools. Methodology used is the bibliographic and documentary analysis, as well as the discourse analysis.
