Sumario: | Abstract:The article contains an analysis of the main aspects of the jurisprudence of the Inter-American Court of Human Rights that gave content to the right to health, mainly, with an indirect treatment, through the references to other rights, but with implications in this area. The study focuses on how this Court has decided –and if could do so about the right to health, taking as the aim, then, find the applicable standards of this right, which are important for States, as these suppose positive obligations for them.Finally, the conjunction and reception that of such treatment should be performed in domestic law is examined, considering the interpretative guidelines that emerge from the American Convention of Human Rights. The article reflects, in sum, the treatment thatthe Inter American Court of Human Rights has given to the right to health, considering some jurisdictional issues, as well as establishing some perspectives with reference to its future prospects. |
