| Sumario: | The reform of the criminal justice system in Mexico in 2008 meant a step forward in terms of security and justice. The new accusatory criminal system came into force throughout the national territory in 2016. Our objective is to analyze how the reform came about, its legal nature and its scope. However, one year after its implementation, the rates of violence have risen unusually. |
