Resumen:
Sumario:The purpose of this paper is to analyze the incorporation of the iSupport tool to improve access to justice in justiciable cases involving cross-border maintenance obligations and the contribution it makes to the activities carried out by the central authorities of each jurisdiction. This mechanism, created under the European Union Regulation on maintenance obligations of 2009 and the Hague Conference on International Recovery of Child Support and Other Forms of Family Maintenance of 2007, aims to achieve greater celerity and lower costs in the processing of international maintenance claims. The advantages and disadvantages of this mechanism and the capacity of private international law to adapt to technological advances will be therefore examined.
