Resumen:
Sumario:This research explores the relationship between feeling function (Jung, 1921; Millon, 2001) with positive and negative affect (Watson et al. 1988) and the expansion-preservation motivational goals (Millon, 2001) in a sample of 200 college students from Uruguay. The feeling function and expansion-preservation are studied through Millon Inventory of Personality Styles [MIPS] (Millon, 2001) and the positive and negative affect through the Positive and Negative Affect Scale [PANAS] (Watson, Clark & Tellegen, 1988). The PANAS has recently been translated and adapted to Uruguay. The results show an inverse correlation between feeling function and positive affect. However, the results do not show a correlation with negative affect nor with expansion and preservation.
