Resumen:
Sumario:In this paper the results of a survey of middle school violence in a provincial town from Uruguay are presented. Data from 775 students of both sexes, aged 12-19, from two local high schools and a technical school were obtained. The School Violence and Leisure Assessment Questionnaire, which had been previously validated in Spain, was used (Díaz-Aguado, Martínez y Martín, 2004). The results reveal various forms of peer violence, as well as shortcomings in the relationship between teacher and student. This work aims to contribute to the knowledge about school violence among adolescents in middle education centers in Uruguay.
