Ontological significance of narration and its role in communication through media

dc.description.en-US.fl_txt_mv | The thesis that is held in this theoretical essay is that the narrative is here understood as a structural condition of human existence that has an ontological scope. Thus, the starting premise of this trial would be that individuals, collectives and institutions give significance to reality and experience in a narrative way. To reflect on the role that narrative has in the media and deepen in previous statements, firstly, a review of the contributions of semiotics, semiotics and discourse studies have been developed. Secondly, the narrative structure of the media discourse is analyzed in a wide sense. Thirdly, it is explored how the narrative impregnates the traditional media. Finally, the narrative imprint of new media and social networks is questioned. |
dc.description.es-ES.fl_txt_mv | En este artículo se sostiene la tesis de que la narración es una condición estructural de la existencia humana y de que tiene un alcance ontológico fundamental. Así, la premisa de partida de este ensayo es que las personas, los colectivos y las instituciones otorgan significación a la realidad, y a su experiencia de ella, a través de diferentes narraciones de carácter histórico. Con el fin de reflexionar acerca de la estrategia y la estructura narrativa de los medios de comunicación, en primer lugar, se realiza una revisión de los conceptos narración, narrativa y narratividad desde la semiología, la semiótica y los estudios del discurso. En segundo lugar, se analiza la estructura narrativa del discurso mediático, en un sentido amplio. En tercer lugar, se explora cómo el storytelling impregna los medios de comunicación tradicionales. Para concluir, se pone de manifiesto la impronta narrativa de los nuevos medios de comunicación y redes sociales. |
