Sumario: | Abstract. A strong sentence falls on the Argentine teenagers that graduate from secondary school with regard to the information that they possess. The «they do not know anything», is an expressionthat encloses a negative appraisal that offers no doubt for many people. In social sciences, what kind of knowledge is supposed to have been built in the previous education and what kind ofknowledge is requested in the entrance courses? What the youths know, how do they know it and from what? Studying the representations that the youths have and setting forth hypothesis ontheir origin is important from the individual intellectual point of view but is also vital for a pedagogy that may keep in mind the social dimension of knowledge. This paper presents the resultsof the investigation on the social representations of people entering in Universidad del Litoral (Santa Fe, Argentina) around three current problems: globalisation, work and poverty. |
