Resumen:
RESUMEN.- En las diferentes etapas de la interacción patógeno-hospedador se activan genes de virulencia que le confieren al microorganismo la capacidad de adherirse, invadir tejidos, sobrevivir intracelularmente entre otras funciones. En este trabajo se exploran los mecanismos de virulencia de Salmonella presentes en el genoma de aislamientos de origen bovino con el objetivo de explicar las diferentes presentaciones clínicas de la salmonelosis. -------------------------------- ABSTRACT.- At different stages of the pathogen-host interaction, virulence genes are activated that give the microorganism the ability to adhere, invade tissues, and survive intracellularly, among other functions. In this work, the Salmonella virulence mechanisms present in the genome of isolates of bovine origin are explored to explain the different clinical presentations of salmonellosis.
