Este trabajo parte de la convicción de que en ciertos momentos de la vida necesitamos del sostén del otro: la escucha, la mirada, el acompañamiento empático. A través de mi experiencia en el Practicantado en la policlínica de Buceo, Montevideo, y en contacto con personas en situación de uso problemático de sustancias psicoactivas, emerge una inquietud central: la ausencia de espacios grupales que acompañen los procesos individuales. Los relatos de los usuarios dan cuenta de un vacío en lo grupal, no solo como carencia estructural, sino como reclamo afectivo. Es así que me propongo pensar la grupalidad como potencia, como lugar de sostén, intercambio y resistencia frente al aislamiento promovido por la subjetividad neoliberal. Desde allí, se explora el grupo como espacio de cuidado y transformación, como "faro" en medio de contextos adversos, habilitando la reconstrucción de sentidos colectivos. Se articula una mirada que entrecruza psicología, filosofía política, feminismos y teoría de los afectos, con autores como Spinoza, Deleuze, Rolnik, Butler, Laval y Dardot. La grupalidad es entendida no solo como herramienta terapéutica sino también como espacio ético y político que repara la pérdida de lo común, reinstalando lo colectivo como posibilidad vital. Esta tesis es también un recorrido personal y situado, en el que se interrogan los modos de acompañar y el lugar del saber psicológico en estas prácticas. El objetivo no es cerrar la reflexión, sino abrir preguntas que permitan seguir pensando la grupalidad como posibilidad transformadora en los tiempos que corren.

This thesis is grounded in the conviction that, at certain moments in life, we require the support of others: attentive listening, recognition, and empathetic accompaniment. Based on my internship experience at the Buceo Polyclinic in Montevideo, and through engagement with individuals facing problematic use of psychoactive substances, a central concern arises: the lack of group spaces to accompany individual processes. The narratives shared by users reveal not only a structural absence but also an affective demand for group-based engagement. In this context, I propose myself to think about groupness as a power, as a space of support, exchange, and resistance against the isolation promoted by neoliberal subjectivity. From this perspective, the group is explored as a site of care and transformation, as a “beacon” amid adverse conditions, enabling the reconstruction of collective meaning. This work articulates a look that intersects psychology, political philosophy, feminism and the theory of affects, with authors such as Spinoza, Deleuze, Rolnik, Butler, Laval and Dardot. Groupness is understood not only as a therapeutic tool but also as an ethical and political space that repairs the loss of the common, reinstating the collective as a vital possibility. This thesis is also a personal and situated journey, in which the ways of accompanying others and the place of psychological knowledge in these practices are interrogated. The goal is not to close the discussion, but rather to open questions that allow us to continue thinking about groupness as a transformative possibility in current times.
