Behavior of reactive electronic meters and power factor meters under non-sinusoidal waveforms and unbalance three phase systems
Resumen:
The behavior of electronic meters under distorted and unbalanced systems is studied. The computing algorithms implemented on them by the manufacturers for the calculation of reactive power, apparent power and power factor are deduced from external tests. It is shown that differences as large as 50% in the reactive power exist between different meters, running under field conditions.
