La presente tesis aborda como objeto de estudio la alfabetización en lengua no materna de una estudiante migrante, desarrollado entre 2017 y 2018, en la ciudad de Montevideo, Uruguay. Al asumir el paradigma interpretativo y el enfoque metodológico cualitativo, se propuso como finalidad sistematizar esta experiencia educativa y se plantean como objetivos específicos el recuento de la experiencia, así como la identificación de los elementos que la favorecieron y los que la obstaculizaron. Para ello, se realizó el análisis de los documentos que conformaron su registro, así como entrevistas a la protagonista de la experiencia, a participantes activos y a expertos en la temática de la investigación. Por otra parte, los principales resultados a los que se llegó son, por un lado, a la identificación de las distintas fases por las cuales transitó esta experiencia educativa; por otro, el reconocimiento de elementos que favorecieron dicho proceso, así como un mapeo de políticas públicas (en lo que refiere a la presencia y a la ausencia de mecanismos institucionales de apoyo). En este marco, se hace foco en las diferencias culturales, falta de políticas públicas, factores psicoafectivos emocionales, así como problemáticas de género y cuidados.

This thesis addresses as an object of study the non-native language literacy acquisition process of a migrant student, developed between 2017 and 2018, in the city of Montevideo, Uruguay. By assuming the interpretative paradigm and the qualitative methodological approach, the aim was to systematise this educational experience and the specific objectives were to recount the experience, as well as to identify the elements that favoured it and those that hindered it. To this end, an analysis of the documents that made up the record was carried out, as well as interviews with the protagonist of the experience, active participants and experts in the subject of the research. On the other hand, he main results obtained are, on the one hand, the identification of the different phases through which this educational experience passed; on the other hand, the recognition of elements that favoured this process, as well as a mapping of public policies (in terms of the presence and absence of institutional support mechanisms). Within this framework, the focus is on cultural differences, lack of public policies, psycho-affective and emotional factors, as well as gender and care issues.
