Anubis : un sistema de monitoreo del rumen bovino
Resumen:
A pH and temperature sensing and recording device (Anubis) is presented. This device was designed to monitor cow’s rumen in order to better understand complex interactions between milk cows and their food in order to improve their productivity. The biological environment constrained aspects of the designing process such as the power consumption and packaging. A low power biological compatible prototype powered by two AA batteries was built and tested inside an actual milk producing cow. A software tool was also developed to facilitate the device configuration as well as the analysis of the collected data. Experimental analysis showed that pH ranging from 4 to 7 could be measured with ±0.1 pH precision, whereas temperature could be measure with ±0.05ºC precision.
