El presente artículo científico de revisión bibliográfica se enmarca como trabajo final de grado de la Licenciatura de Psicología de la Universidad de la República. Se propone como objetivo conocer las motivaciones y factores sociales y psicológicos que median entre la conducta femicida en la pareja y el posterior suicidio, o tentativa, del agresor. La motivación en investigar el presente fenómeno se debe a la gran relevancia social y académica que tiene el mismo a nivel nacional y regional. Por lo mismo, se busca abordar y se intenta dar respuesta a esta dimensión que ha sido poco estudiada dentro de los estudios de la violencia basada en género, y específicamente, el suicidio siendo una conducta de los femicidas. Se orienta a responder las siguientes preguntas¿Qué relación tiene esta conducta con las construcciones sociales de masculinidad? ¿Se distinguen por algún tipo de tipología dentro de los agresores de pareja o expareja? ¿Qué factores sociales y psicológicos de riesgo están presentes que predigan dicha conducta? Método: Se procedió a la búsqueda de artículos publicados en los últimos 15 años (2008-2023) considerando como criterios de selección, producciones que abordan la relación entre femicidio y posterior suicidio de femicidas, la masculinidad y la violencia de género, las tipologías de los agresores y los factores de riesgo de la violencia femicida. La búsqueda fue realizada entre los meses de septiembre y diciembre de 2023. Resultados: Los hallazgos dan cuenta del peso de los roles de masculinidad presente en las conductas de los varones que luego redundan en el fenómeno del femicidio-suicidio. Las diversas tipologías encontradas otorgan influencia en dimensiones de dependencia emocional y el deseo de evitar las consecuencias sociales y penales del delito cometido. Asociado a esto, factores de riesgo dinámicos como el consumo problemático de drogas y alcohol y la tenencia de armas de fuego presentan incidencia en el fenómeno.

The present scientific article of bibliographic review is framed as a final degree work of the Bachelor's Degree in Psychology of the Universidad de la República. The objective is to determine the motivations and social and psychological factors that mediate between femicidal behavior in the couple and the subsequent suicide, or attempted suicide, of the aggressor. The motivation to investigate this phenomenon is due to its great social and academic relevance at the national and regional level. Therefore, we seek to address and attempt to respond to this dimension that has been little studied within the studies of gender-based violence, and specifically, suicide as a behavior of femicides. The aim is to answer the following questions: What is the relationship between this behavior and the social constructions of masculinity? Is there any type of typology within the aggressors of partners or ex-partners? What social and psychological risk factors are present that predict this behavior? Method: We proceeded to search for articles published in the last 15 years (2008-2023) considering as selection criteria, productions that address the relationship between femicide and subsequent suicide of femicides, masculinity and gender violence, typologies of aggressors and risk factors of femicidal violence. The search was conducted between September and December 2023. Results: The findings show the weight of masculinity roles present in male behaviors that later result in the phenomenon of femicide-suicide. The various typologies found influence dimensions of emotional dependence and the desire to avoid the social and penal consequences of the crime committed. Associated with this, dynamic risk factors such as problematic drug and alcohol consumption and the possession of firearms have an impact on the phenomenon.
