En este trabajo se ha recopilado normativa vigente sobre contaminación sonora en 18 países latinoamericanos. En la mayoría de ellos se ha obtenido normativa de alcance nacional, aunque en algunos fue necesario recurrir a la normativa de la ciudad capital para obtener niveles admisibles, o por tratarse de disposiciones significativamente más actuales que la normativa nacional. En efecto, para la selección se consideró el alcance geográfico y la edad de las leyes y reglamentos. Se identifican niveles de inmisión admisibles según horario (diurno - nocturno) y según se trate de niveles en exteriores o interiores. Los valores se presentan clasificados además según zonificación del suelo urbano. Se presentan también tablas con los valores correspondientes a la mediana y la moda de los valores obtenidos. Llama la atención el amplio intervalo de valores que se identifica para condiciones similares, en la normativa de países diferentes.

In this work, current regulations on noise pollution have been compiled in 18 Latin American countries. In most of them, national regulations have been obtained, although in some cases it was necessary to use the regulations of the capital city to obtain admissible levels, or because they are significantly more recent than the national regulations. Indeed, for the selection, the geographic scope and the age of the laws and regulations were considered. Admissible immission levels are identified acco rding to the time (day - night) and depending on whether the levels are outdoors or indoors. The values are also classified according to urban land zoning. Tables with the values corresponding to the median and the mode of the values obtained are also pres ented. The wide range of values that is identified for similar conditions in the regulations of different countries is striking.
