O ensino universitário na época do declínio dos saberes

Resumen:

Este trabalho analisa o impacto que as vicissitudes do declínio do valor social do conhecimento, traço da sociedade contemporânea, têm no ensino universitário. Situado no ponto terminal do processo de ensino, o ensino universitário vive a dificuldade de definir sua identidade: estaria ele mais próximo à universalização do conhecimento, ou mais próximo à especificidade exigida pelas profissões catalogadas pelo mercado? A hipótese deste trabalho, sustentada a partir da noção psicanalítica de discurso do capitalista é a de que o ensino universitário, acompanhando o declínio do valor social do conhecimento, trocou o que seria sua principal função: a de fazer pensar, pelo consumo maciço de um conhecimento acumulado que visa preparar competências.


This paper analyses the impact the decline of the social value of knowledge, a trace of contemporary society, has on university teaching. At the end the teaching process,university teaching goes through the difficulty of defining its identity: would it be closer to the universalization of knowledge, or closer to the requirements of the professions defined by the market? Formulated from the psychoanalytical notion of capitalist discourse, the hypothesis of this paper is that university teaching, in line with the decline of the social value of knowledge, changed what would be its main function, namely, to make students think, for the massive consumption of knowledge to prepare for professional competences.
