En este artículo de revisión se propone un recorrido de las construcciones teóricas que surgen del saber en el campo socio-psicológico en el estudio y diseño de distintas estrategias y herramientas necesarias, para abordar el rol de las mujeres en las actividades de cuidado de la infancia. Se destaca la importancia de garantizar el pleno derecho de niños/as al momento de su desarrollo en el escenario contemporáneo a través del reconocimiento del carácter fundamental de esta etapa evolutiva, así como el aporte de la teoría del apego para promover un sistema de protección integral de la infancia. En el marco de los procesos de feminización en esta actividad, observar que, viene siendo objeto de un lento y constante reconocimiento la valoración del rol de las mujeres en el cuidado y algunas manifestaciones de la inclusión de varones con compromiso responsable al momento de cuidar. Se perciben cuerpos teóricos que dan cuenta de las causas de invisibilidad de los mencionados procesos. La inclusión de la perspectiva de género en el estudio del cuidado inherente a la infancia con predominio de la sobrecarga de mujeres, promueve un campo de estudios en la producción científica latinoamericana y mundial que dejan al descubierto una serie de críticas, tensiones y aportes que intentan corregir generalizaciones que se han estado realizando acerca de los diferentes procesos de feminización y cuidados. El análisis teórico de las investigaciones promueve a la reflexión acerca del trayecto que se viene produciendo y estimula la discusión para posibles futuros abordajes.

In this revision article we propose to explore the theoretical constructions that arise from the knowledge in the study on the socio-psychological field and the design of different strategies and tools needed to approach the role of women in child care activities.The report highlights the importance of guaranteeing the children’s full right during their development in a contemporary scenario through the acknowledgment of this fundamental evolutionary stage. It also stresses the contribution of the attachment theory in promoting a comprehensive child protection system. Within the framework of feminization processes in this activity, we can observe that, the appreciation of the role of women in the care and some manifestations of the inclusion of men with commitment and responsibility are being the object of a slow and constant recognition. We perceive theoretical structures that provide a detailed account of the causes of the invisibility of the mentioned processes. The inclusion of a gender perspective in the study of care inherent to childhood with a predominance of overloaded women, promotes a field of studies in the scientific production in Latin American and the world. This perspective exposes a set of criticisms, tensions and contributions that try to amend generalizations made in the different processes of feminization and child care. The theoretical analysis of the investigations promotes a reflection about the path that has been taken and encourages a discussion for possible future approaches.
