Insulation coordination study of lightning overvoltages for a 500 kV substation.
Resumen:
In this work, an insulation coordination study of lightning overvoltages for a typical 500 kV substation based on simulations of electromagnetic transients is described. The study is done based on two alternative methodologies, in order to compare and extract conclusions applicable to future designs of 500 kV substations of UTE.
