A first approach to considering the information of the Madden-Julian oscillation in the operation of the electrical system of Uruguay.
Resumen:
The Madden-Julian oscillation is a phenomenon lasting around 20 to 30 days that conditions precipitation in different regions of the globe. In this work, the correlations between the state of said oscillation and the hydraulic energy tributary to the hydroelectric plants of Uruguay are presented. Results of the optimal operation with and without considering said information are also presented.
