The authorities of the Uruguayan Congress of Surgery have entrusted us with the task of coordinating the Round Table on surgical technique. This is the first experiencethat is performed in this field of surgery. The initiative belongs to us and was presented to the General Assembly in the 1969 Congress. We consider that the surgical techniqueit should be a reason for special attention by surgeons. An opportunity to spread it, is this meeting of Uruguayan surgeons of different generations,who act in various media and who meet to exchange concerns and knowledge.

Las autoridades del Congreso Uruguayo de Cirugía nos han encomendado la tarea de coordinar la Mesa Redonda de técnica quirúrgica. Esta es la primera experienciaque se realiza en este terreno de la cirugía. La iniciativa nos pertenece y fue presentada a la Asamblea General en el Congreso del año 1969. Consideramos que la técnica quirúrgicadebe ser motivo de especial atención por parte de los cirujanos. Una oportunidad para difundirla, es esta reunión de cirujanos uruguayos de distintas generaciones,que actúan en diversos medios y que se encuentran para intercambiar inquietudes y conocimientos.
