dc.description.en-US.fl_txt_mv Photographer Natacha Pisarenko reflects, in the portraits of these and other victims of gender violence, the strength of women in Argentina who agreed to share their terrible stories to alarm and try to prevent future cases. They are women who overcame hard experiences with a common goal: to fight for other women. In Argentina, statistics show that a woman dies every 30 hours. Through the “Ni una menos” movement, created in 2015, many women are mobilizing to put a brake on this violence, to raise awareness, accompany other women and make visible the growing problem of femicide.Natacha Pisarenko was born in Buenos Aires (Argentina) and studied photography at that city’s School of Photographic Arts. In 1988, started her career as a photographer for the newspaper La Nación. In 2002, Pisarenko joined The Associated Press (AP), where she works until today. In 2015, she was named chief of Photography of AP for the Southern Cone.
